UV Prom - Field Of Vision FLAC album

Obscure, forgotten little gem from an unknown band who were fortunate enough to get their debut material produced by the wizards at Drive-in Studios. The music is consistently very good, with perhaps "Mobile Home Murder" being the standout. Well constructed guitar lines, driving bass, and a vocalist who fits the music very well. If you remember what the jangle-pop scene was putting out around this time period, with bands like Seven Simons and The Alarm all over the "charts," then the music on this record will come as no surprise. For some reason UV Prom reminds me a bit of Actifed, though, maybe because of Joe Romweber's vocal style (any relation to Dexter Romweber?). My copy of this is pressed on translucent brown vinyl and has grooves pressed on side two, even though there isn't any music on that side. This odd artifact is worth adding to your collection.
