A1: Techno. Undoubted Mills influence with it's "came from outer space" sounds. It remains a curiosity throughout but whereas Mills would have brought this to the very highest level with some sustained chords this prefers to stick to it's first trick. It's a very, very good trick but also unavoidably a missed opportunity. [NINE]
A2: Techno. Weakest track here by some distance. Fair loop breakdown to nothingness and never really returns in earnest. A little bit of subtlety at the last is far too late. [FIVE]
B1: Techno. Tribal tool. Superior funk to the rhythm and beats. Good progression and interest is maintained. [NINE]
B2: Techno (Lush/Growler). Starts out with a straight forward stomp, then has a "Jelly Tones" breakdown before the dirty baseline kicks in. The stomp returns and the beats progress. You wind up with an excellent blend of the driving bass drum of straight techno, that is also a proper growler but with lush chords. Ultimately for a stronger set but a remarkable piece that retains some subtlety as "B2's" often do. [TEN]
