This LP has used tracks from fairly poor quality sources. The mastering process for vinyl (from whatever source the tracks were taken) has, apparently, had no effect on quality and the outcome is a tinny unlistenable sound. I DJ this type of music, the sleevenotes are written by a good friend and former colleague, and I bought the album 'on spec'. I was extremely disappointed not only at the painful sound quality but also the uninspired & patchy selection. If I were wearing my cynical reviewers hat I'd say this LP was a sly attempt to cash in cheaply on the burgeoning vinyl market. It certainly caught me out. If you're looking for good quality, well-chosen & well-mastered vinyl re-issues there are far better options open to you elsewhere.
