Notes:
There is confusion about RCA Victor LP LM-1742 / WDM-1742 (45 rpm) “Tartini Devil’s Trill Sonata and Encores”.
A Canadian pressing featured Adolph Baller as pianist and reads “recorded in Japan” [1951] on the sleeve back.
In fact, the pianist on this LP is Gerald Moore, and the recording took place in London in 1953.
On February 9, 1939, RCA Victor recorded Robert Schumann’s Violin Concerto in D minor with Yehudi Menuhin and
the New York Philharmonic under the direction of John Barbirolli, produced by Charles O’Connell on behalf of
Electric and Musical Industries Ltd (EMI) in New York City (Matrices CS 018860/66). This recording was released
in the U.S. on RCA Victor 14913/6 in set M-451, in Europe on HMV DB 3435/8.
